Is there a magic wand that could grant our beauty wish – radiance, youthfulness, fair and even complexion? Yes. A powerful machine called Forever Young BBL can treat multiple skin conditions from angiomas to age spots, fine lines to lesions.
A “WAVE” OF THE WAND
Forever Young BBL uses infrared light technology that can penetrate the epidermis and dermis to reach the innermost layers of the skin. No incisions are needed, but it can target cells. The heat or energy from the waves can break down pigment (addressing problems like vascular lesions, acne marks or freckles, and other problems with discoloration). It has also been used for hair removal and restoring radiance.
FIGHT AGEING FROM THE GENETIC LEVEL
There are several signs of ageing: dullness and discoloration caused by exposure to the sun, roughness from slower cell regeneration, fine lines and wrinkles caused by lower collagen production, and sagging caused by lower elastin production.
Forever Young BBL targets all these signs of ageing. It can break down the pigment to reduce age spots and sun spots and even out the complexion. The wavelengths also penetrate the cell to stimulate the genes associated with skin regeneration (for example, those that prompt your body to produce collagen and elastin). It also “turns off” or slows down the genes that are associated with ageing. In effect, it helps your skin behave younger.
Over several sessions, Forever Young BBL will help your skin look firmer, and feel smoother and more supple.
ONE OF THE SAFEST IPL AVAILABLE
Since Forever Young BBL uses different frequencies, aesthetics doctors can not only treat different concerns, but also finetune the treatment to one’s skin type. For example, longer wavelengths are safe even for people who have darker skin tones because it controls melanin absorption. Combined with the machine’s cooling mechanisms, there is less risk for burns or discomfort – especially in areas where the skin is thinner, like the forehead.
MINIMAL DISCOMFORT AND DOWNTIME
Forever Young BBL is available in many Singapore aesthetics clinics. In a typical session, you will wear safety shields or glasses to protect your eyes. Depending on the face or body part that is being treated (and your own personal pain levels) you may be given a topical anesthetic. You may feel a warm, snapping sensation as the light penetrates the skin. The discomfort is minimal, and the session is very short – usually a few minutes to half an hour – as the machine is able to treat the targeted cells very quickly.
After treatment, there may be some redness and darkening, but this will fade. The number of required sessions depends on your skin concern and the area being treated.
